| The CME has made a programming change to the C21 Banking and Settlement applications. This upgrade is to support the new Single Stock Futures products. All firms who use dedicated Clearing 21 workstations need to install the new programs on their C21 PCs that are located in their offices. The upgrades are scheduled to be installed at the CME at 5:00 PM (Chgo.time) on Friday, September 27, 2002. WARNING: Clearing 21 Banking and Settlement applications will not be available during the install. We recommend that firms complete their Banking or Settlement tasks before 5:00 PM on Friday, September 27,2002. We expect the install to be completed within 2 hours.Settlement System Changes : The Clearing Member Settlement Account Recap List window has been changed to display updated Excess/Deficit information after each settlement cycle. Window Appearance The first change that will be noticed is that the Full Value Delivery Recap and Asset Activity buttons have been removed. These buttons had never been activated. New Buttons - Most Recent Excess/Deficit.

These new buttons will be used to determine what Excess/Deficit information is displayed on the window. Important: These windows will become active with the launch of Single Stock Futures. Banking System Changes: All windows with Seg field - will see the additional value MM (Market Maker) besides CSEG and NSEG, will be effective after October 25, 2002. Firms must install these programs, otherwise the Banking and Settlement applications will not function properly after 5:PM (CST) on Friday, September 27,2002. If you use a dedicated Clearing 21 workstation and you opted not to install the new programs, you can run those applications via Citrix Program Neighborhood on the Clearing 21 workstation. NOTE: C21 Dial-Up and CME Portal users: If you access the C21 application using the Thin Client dial-up software (CITRIX Metaframe) or via the Internet, you do not have to load these new files. The CME Staff will update the CME server that supports C21 thin client. Download of New Client Files to C21 Workstations Firm back office or PC Staff need to install the new program files on their Clearing 21 workstations any time after 5:00 P.M. CST on Friday, September 27, 2002. The files will be available via the CME Web site. They will be bundled in a zip file. Downloading the Installation via the Web Log on to the Client Management website: ftp://ftp.cme.com/pub/clearing/c21-client/pos following steps:- Download c21ssf.zip file and extract it onto the root directory of a CD/ROM and label it c21ssf.
- On the same website, click on Readme.pdf to open and print the Clearing 21 installation instructions.
